An Epic Client

Just recently we have had the pleasure to team up with Epic Energy, a local community based business whose mission is to help their clients conserve and consume energy more effectively and efficiently, while saving them money and adding value to their homes. A website project turned into a rebranding project, followed by a brochure and many other projects and many more in the pipeline! Look for their vehicles coming to a neighborhood near you! In the meantime feel free to visit their site at www.thinkepic.com

Recent Branding project

One of our newest branding projects! The City of Citrus Heights contacted us to brand their 20th Anniversary Block Party happening in June, and this logo was the foundation. We are currently adding to the collateral with other pieces such as web ads, posters, sponsor sheets, hand bill and more. It has been an honor to be a part of such a landmark occasion!

Same place new look!

We just gave The Press Bistro’s website a fresh new look. Go check it out!   www.thepressbistro.com

Let’s Get Baking!

RealPieCompany_Logo_Final
Hostetler Bakkie is excited to introduce our newest Sacramento partner, Real Pie Company!

Kira O’Donnell is returning to downtown Sacramento to offer her critically-acclaimed, handcrafted pies and pastries, which celebrate ripe, seasonal produce from small local farms.

O’Donnell got the pie bug early in life, baking alongside her grandmother at her grandparents’ farm in Humboldt County. She honed her skills in a number of Northern California restaurants,
including the Auberge du Soleil in Rutherford and Chez Panisse in Berkeley.

Opening in the fall at 16th and G streets, Real Pie Company will feature fruit-focused pies, galettes, tarts and cakes, as well as a handful of savory items such as chicken pot pies and quiches.
O’Donnell, who founded the Sacramento chapter of Slow Food USA, also has a unique partnership with the Felix Gillet Institute (http://felixgillet.org), and will be offering a number of pastries featuring
very rare heirloom fruits sourced from historic Gold Rush-era mining camps and abandoned homesteads.

The shop will offer limited indoor and outdoor seating, and an area offering customers an array of local small farm resources, including farm trail maps, farmers’ market schedules and information
about CSA (community-supported agriculture) programs.

Visit her website at realpiecompany.com  and come in and try for yourself, what is soon to be a tasty downtown institution for years to come!

SMUD project up and live!

Screen Shot 2013-05-24 at 12.17.20 PM

After countless hours of meetings and hard work that would span 6 months, our first SMUD project has gone Live! Partnering with SMUD late November of 2012, we were assigned the task of designing an interactive, illustrated house that would combine all the ways that SMUD customers could explore options to save money. This tool would be called the Home Rebates and Energy Solutions tool, which would be part of a bigger program named the HPP or Home Performance Program. While this online illustration tool was the bulk of our work, we designed and created a brochure and video along side of it. Look for all three of our projects to be hitting the market soon, as SMUD readies for its grand release shortly! Click on the title and see how it works!

Hosbak partners with Ruhstaller

Recently we’ve had the opportunity to partner with Sacramento’s own Ruhstaller beer. Working with Ruhstaller founder, JE Paino, we’ve been able to create some great labels incorporating some authentic images, such as the one above…Matilda. You might have seen her around town at some of the beer events these last couple of years. See her on the label of Sunny Jim’s Blond Ale, hitting the shelves at a store near you soon!

Branding Radiance Music

What design company doesn’t love a good brand development project?  Radiance Music, out of Hollywood California, is a newly founded record label located on Sunset Strip, a major hub in the Hollywood scene. Radiance’s Founder/President had originally envisioned a vintage style logo, but after many renditions ended up going with our version of something way out of the box of the original thought. We ended up submitting the clean, more direct custom typeface with the golden disc evoking not only gold records, but the very definition of radiance itself! Needless to say, this was the winner!
